Howard Riley Trio

Howard Riley began playing piano at the age of 6 and was playing jazz by his early teens.

His lengthy career has seen him working with Jon Hiseman, John McLaughlin, the London Jazz Composers Orchestra and Keith Tippett, amongst many others.

Since establishing himself on the free jazz and improvised music scene, his work has broadened considerably to cover extensive solo piano, duos and trios.

The two albums on this CD were originally released on CBS Records in 1969 and 1970. They are now being reissued as one disc, in agreement with Howard Riley himself, who has always viewed these two records as being part of one larger, complementary piece.

Now reissued together on one CD for the first time, these recordings come with a CD booklet featuring full recording details, photographs and liner notes from Howard Riley.
