DR STRANGELY STRANGE PLAY KIP OF THE SERENES LIVE! ONLY 20 TICKETS LEFT!! Please note: Any ticket orders received after close of business on Saturday 14th February will not be mailed out but held for collection at the venue from 7.30 onwards on the day of the gig.
The cut-off date/time for advance bookings is
22.00 on Friday 20th February. Tim Booth, Tim Goulding and Ivan Pawle, augmented by Joe Thoma (fiddle and mandolin and a Strangely since 1980) will perform the entire Kip album, plus a variety of material from their early career and maybe a few new songs. At the last
London gig they were supported by Joe Murphy (his Something in the Water
duo); this time Joe's band Sgt Buzfuz will perform. 'They have taken the Sixties back catalogue and asked Gorky's Zygotic Mynci to give it a remix.' (bbc.co.uk London Calling site) Additionally, a late set from Glassglue.
An eccentric bunch of musicians
who are beefier than Beefheart ...great stage presence and short sharp
songs that are quirky and work well... enthusiastic, intelligent,
bright, sharp, concise and minimalistic in their no nonsense approach. No booking fee, postage is free. Tickets will be posted out in the first week in January.
Only 200 tickets are available.
